Clean Your Ears to Protect Your Hearing

Earwax is your body's way to clean your ear canal and push out dirt. But sometimes earwax becomes impacted against the eardrum or even completely blocks the ear canal. This can lead to tinnitus (ringing in your ears). Here at Trebil Hearing Center, we've found that sometimes addressing hearing loss can be as simple as earwax removal.

You may be tempted to remove earwax with a cotton swab but you should not. If the earwax doesn't come out on its own, you can try ear drops that can be purchased at any drug store or supermarket. Ear drops soften earwax so it will come out more easily in the shower or bath.
